Bradford African Community is a community-led organisation and registered charity ( Charity No. 1191374) committed to support refugees, migrants, and those granted legal status to remain and work in the UK. Our aim is to encourage and empower people from ethnically diverse communities to engage, participate, and contribute fully to society through successful integration into British life.










We provide a wide range of services designed to support refugees, migrants, sanctuary seekers, and people from ethnic diverse communities. Our goal is to help individuals and families overcome language and cultural barriers, build confidence, access opportunities and fully participate their new community life.

One of our pivot services is to the women in our community because the support of women is vital for the home. Every alternate Saturdays from 3pm to 5pm, we conduct this women’s group and all refugee & asylum seeker women are welcome to join us.

Bridging the digital divide. Join our Basic Digital Literacy and Job search support sessions to build essential skills.
Through compassionate, practical support and our community-led services, we are helping individuals and families rebuilding their lives, gain confidence, develop new skills and create a sense of belonging in their new communities.

We offer a safer and supportive learning environment for children and young people from refegee, sanctuary seeking and diverse communities who are experiencing language barriers. Through out-of-school activities, we help them improve their English literacy and maths skills, enabling them to achieve their full potential in education and everyday life. This support is crucial in building confidence, improving academic attainement, and creating opportunities for future employment, helping young people become active, productive members of our society.
