Bradford African Community

The African people in the Bradford community have all arrived in the United Kingdom in the last 5 years. We come from a number of refugee camps across East Africa including the Congo Kinshasa, Burundi, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Zambia, Sudan, Zimbabwe, and Somalia. 

Services to our community

We have a variety of services offered to our community. We are always looking to improve ourselves.

Join our

Women Group

One of our pivot services is to the women in our community because the support of women is vital for the home. Every alternate Saturdays from 3pm to 5pm, we conduct this women’s group and all refugee & asylum seeker women are welcome to join us.

Be Part of our

Homework Club

Offering a place for our children to work in a supportive environment  during out of school hours. Doing homework requires a quiet space to work and support from parents. Every Saturdays 3pm till 5pm. This is for refugee and asylum seeker’s children.

We Offer

English Classes

The need to learn english is paramount in the efforts to integrate into the Bradford community. Learning english improves one’s listening ability which merges into all areas of their life. Every Thursday from 4pm till 6pm. Childcare is available & a nice children’s play area.

We Are Currently Hiring

Whether your looking for a job or in need of preparations to land the job you are currently eyeing. We offer volunteering opportunities and training service to the members of our communities so that they can secure paid jobs.
